USA BUYERS
Here are a few tips for our USA buyers.
Do's and Don'ts to help with importing lines
from Canada.
Below are some points to be aware of if you are
exporting from Canada into the USA.
- Do find out if the vender presently does
business in the USA.
- Do ask for a USA price list as simple dollar
conversion rates don't always apply.
- Do clarify who clears the goods through customs.
- Do clarify who pays for shipping to what
destination and what the clearing address will
be.
Eg: Buffalo, Vancouver, Maine etc
- Do bring proper credit information on your
store.
- Don't take for granted you can take the goods
over the border with you without proper documentation.
- Don't take for granted the vender will automatically
understand how to address the Do's above.
- Don't expect product from a third country
to have the same duties as Canadian made product.
